    We’re on the hunt for an experienced Auto Body & Paint Repair Instructor who ranks in the top quartile among their peers. Someone who has a highly competitive and entrepreneurial mindset that is wired with a team-first attitude, has no problem rolling up their sleeves to execute their missions, and can modulate between leading and following as needed. You will serve as the Auto Body & Paint Repair InstructorThere is an opening for our GD&C offices to be based at Solera offices in Dallas. This role exists within the team that develops global services and solutions and is part of an ambitious new program building within the agile concept our future.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    At Solera, we believe in providing clarity and focus to what our volunteers are responsible for – their mission. The 80’s, as we call them at Solera, are the employee’s priorities associated with their role or mission. The mission 80’s for this role, are:

    1. Monitor and propose research consistent with advanced trends in paint repair and refinishing methodologies
    2. Deliver training courses consistent with the most advance paint repair and refinishing methodologies and products in the collision repair industry
    3. Support the development of training curriculum at the Solera Technical Center



    Are You Qualified? 



    • Drive and participate in forward thinking research initiatives in response to trends in vehicle technology; specifically in advanced finishes and repair techniques
    • Support the Solera Technical Center
    • Deliver engaging training on Paint repair and refinishing techniques for Aluminum, Steel, Plastic and Carbon Fiber to ensure that all OEM repair guidelines are met in cooperation with Collision Instructor.
    • Perform advance level work, including training and developing technicians, on inspection, repair, and service of today's vehicles.
    • Knowledge of: methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the refinishing and repair of vehicles
    • Assist with the operations of the training center that include: inventory, vehicles, room setup, service center contacts, phone calls, scheduling, tool and equipment 
    • Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand
    • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet project deadlines
    • Able to travel domestically and internationally to support training needs


    • Industry collision repair technician preferred – minimum 3 years' experience
    • ASE and I-CAR certifications a plus
    • Proven ability in structuring demonstrations and instruction sessions
    • Maintain and perform top level professional integrity and appearance as a trainer for Solera and automotive professional
    • Able to drive a fork lift.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
    • Adult learning or training and assessment certificate or equivalent
    • Experience with use of Waterborne and custom paint techniques is a plus
    • Valid Driver's License with at least 2 years of driving experience and insurable
    • Excellent written and communication skills in English. Bilingual in both English and Spanish, a plus
    • Requires High School Diploma or equivalent: Certificate from Vocational School in Collision Repair preferred
