    What You’ll Be Doing

     

    At Solera, we believe in providing clarity and focus to what our volunteers are responsible for – their mission. The 80’s, as we call them at Solera, are the employee’s priorities associated with their role or mission.

     

    The mission 80’s for this role, are:

     

    1. Responsible for maintaining the integrity & security of enterprise wide cyber systems & networks.

    2. Responsible for maintaining situational awareness of cyber activity by reviewing new vulnerabilities, malware, or other threats that have the potential to impact the organization.

    3. The successful candidate will have a Red-Team first mindset and a relentless attitude in pursuit of finding security holes.

     

     Additional responsibilities of the role include: 

    • Support cyber security initiatives through both predictive & reactive analysis, articulating emerging trends to leadership & staff.
    • Coordinate resources & assist during enterprise incident response efforts.
    • Drive incidents to timely & complete resolution.
    • Conduct malware analysis providing indicators for enterprise defensive measures.
    • Perform cyber threat intelligence analysis, correlate actionable security events.
    • Perform network traffic analysis using raw packet data, net flow, IDS, IPS, & custom sensor output.
    • Deliver status reports, briefings, recommendations, & findings.
    • Scan internal/external networks for vulnerabilities
    • Scan Applications/Internal tools for vulnerabilities
    • Develop exploitation toolkit
    • Employ advanced forensic tools & techniques for attack reconstruction.
    • Complete forensic and volatile data collection analysis.
    • Review threat data from various sources.
    • Develop custom signatures or other custom detection capabilities.
    • Correlate actionable security events from various sources.
    • Develop unique automation & correlation techniques.
    • Coordinate Table Top exercises.
    • Communicate status of missions and hunting activities to leadership. 

    Qualifications

    Are You Qualified?

    • Minimum 5 years professional technical experience in the Information Security field.
    • Minimum 2 years experience working with security technologies including Intrusion Detection & Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Firewalls & Log Analysis.
    • Proven experience of working in an IT service operations team.
    • Minimum 2 years working with SIEM, Network Behavior Analysis tools, Antivirus, & Network Packet Analyzers.
    • Minimum 1 year experience working with Digital Forensics tools in an Enterprise environment & conducting Cyber Incident Response activities in an Enterprise environment.
    • GPEN, GWAPT
    • Ability to work autonomously, as well as contribute in a team and professional environment.
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple, concurrent activities, while understanding and managing priorities, dependencies & risk.
    • Strong communication (verbal & written) & interpersonal skills.
    • Strong focus on customer service and outcome.
    • Proven ability to adapt & maintain a flexible approach to changing needs or priorities.
    • Strong reporting & analytical skills with attention to detail.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
    • High level of initiative & self-motivation.
