    What You’ll Be Doing

    At Solera, we believe in providing clarity and focus to what our volunteers are responsible for – their mission. The 80’s, as we call them at Solera, are the employee’s priorities associated with their role or mission. The mission 80’s for this role, are:

    • Gather Business requirements: lead the gathering of business requirements. Translate high level business requirements into functional specifications.
    • Document Requirements: detailed and concise descriptions of business and technical requirements. This effort includes considerations for regulatory, business, user, functional and non-functional requirements.  The documentation should reflect “current state” and “future states” of the business function.
    • Manage requirements: Define, organize, and schedule requirements management activities within the scope of an overall project plan. Determine requirements prioritization and manage traceability activities.
    • Project Integration:  Establish the framework needed to ensure all elements of a project are planned, coordinated and monitored.  This may include development of a project plan, change control plan and an execution plan.
    • Scope Management:  Work with primary stakeholders defines what is in and out of project scope.  Ensuring scope is documented and approved identifying the collective set of project deliverables.
    • Project Timing:  Define project activities, sequencing of those activities and estimating level of effort.
    • Budgeting & Cost Management:  Pull together the estimated cost for the project, identifying when expenditures will occur, overseeing the budget vs. spend throughout the projects life-cycle and incorporating controls to ensure the project stays within budget.

     Additional responsibilities of the role include:

    • Team leadership:  Identify the skills needed for project success and work with stakeholders to ensure team member skill sets align with project assignments
    • Be a Subject Matter Expert: Understand business process and data flow within applications.
    • Communication Planning:  Creates and manages a project communication plan ensuring project stakeholders receive the information needed, within a beneficial timeframe and utilizing an effective format (verbal, written, presentation).
    • Risk Management:  Strives to identify project risks, works with team and stakeholders to establish risk mitigation plans including the identification of triggering events, control methods and project impact / cost estimates.
    • Procurement Management:  Oversees the activities required for procurement including establishing contracts (Time & Materials; Fixed Price; …), statements of work (SOW), defining contract change control procedures, vendor management as well as overseeing product evaluation and selection efforts.



    Are You Qualified?

    • Undergraduate degree in Finance or Financial Systems Management
    • PMP/ PMI Certification or equivalent preferred
    • 5- 10 years’ experience successfully leading & managing complex global financial system implementation projects.
    • Advanced understanding of US GAAP and finance and accounting practices.
    • Advanced understanding of six sigma & lean principles.
    • Advanced understanding of financial systems & platforms.
    • Advanced understanding of the Sarbanes Oxley act and internal control frameworks
    • Prior experience in AGILE project management and software implementation
