    We’re on the hunt for an experienced Vice President – Commercial Support who ranks in the top quartile among their peers. Someone who has a highly competitive and entrepreneurial mindset that is wired with a team-first attitude, has no problem rolling up their sleeves to execute their missions, and can modulate between leading and following as needed. You will serve as the VP – Commercial Support SMR Global. The mission of the SMR & Enterprise Solutions division is to contribute to Solera’s 2020 mission by enabling Solera to become the most efficient and influential solutions and services provider within the automotive claims industry, by developing platform digital innovations and by driving knowledge dissemination and industry standards set up. The Global SMR & Enterprise Solutions team represents high value-prop product solutions and services to the SMR marketplace that enable SMR customers and partners to build thriving businesses contributing to Solera’s rapid growth and market presence. The VP – Commercial Support role is part of the Senior Management Leadership Team therefore mission critical. The role includes the responsibility for the primary oversight of the Virtual Technician, Customer Success Management (all of North America), Customer Account Management-Retention, Internal Training (Sales Effectiveness) and Service/Support teams for Global SMR & Enterprise Solutions in the North American region. The role currently has 5 direct reports and 101 total reporting volunteers supporting the mission.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    At Solera, we believe in providing clarity and focus to what our volunteers are responsible for – their mission. The 80’s, as we call them at Solera, are the employee’s priorities associated with their role or mission. The mission 80’s for this role, are:

    1. Act as the Commercial Support Senior Executive overseeing all North American SMR operational, service, support and internal training activities.
    2. Provide strategic and tactical leadership over the Commercial Support management and front-line operational teams.
    3. Act as tactical backbone of the SMR organization ensuring operational excellence, execution, process and prowess.

    Additional responsibilities of the role include:

    • Strategic Implementation:


      • Works directly with the Global General Manager to establish the strategic and tactical mission plans for Commercial Support based on consolidated input and feedback from external customers, internal customers and the SMR SMT.
      • Develop business plans within the Solera Way methodologies and execute with a bias for action and sense of urgency to maximize overall output.
      • Provide programmatic leadership and own input/output accountability for the subset missions assigned to the teams making up the Commercial Support division.
      • Coach Directors and management line leadership teams as they implement the strategic plan into operations.
      • Develop and implement a system for tracking and reporting on the progress of strategic plan implementation and effectiveness impacts back to mission supporting KPIs.
    • Transformational Leadership


      • Provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in the development of the Commercial Support management team leveraging the Solera Way 2X2 ownership matrix.
      • Identify Solera opportunities to leverage cross-program strengths to take advantage of new opportunities and/or to address organizational challenges.
      • Achieve the organizational transformation targets in a complex and changing environment
      • Lead, coach, develop, and retain Solera high-performance senior management team with an emphasis on developing capacity in strategic analysis and planning and program budgeting.
    • Operational Excellence


      • Prepare, submit and monitor annual operational budgets with Finance, manage effectively within this budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
      • Ensure the continued financial viability of the Global SMR & Enterprise Solutions operational units through sound management.
      • Develop and implement training programs with HR to reach maximum capacity of all staff.
      • Ensuring efficiency in order to optimize the maximum value of the organization.


    Are You Qualified?

    • Bachelor’s Degree required; a focus in Business, Management, Finance or Accounting is preferred. MBA preferred.
    • 12 -15 years of experience in an operations management role; 10+ years as senior manager
    • Experience supporting multiple sites/branches/locations; ability to provide guidance and management from a remote location
    • Proven leadership ability, industry-specific knowledge gained through experience
    • A demonstrated ability to apply seasoned business judgment to operational issues and advise on appropriate solutions.
    • Solid working knowledge of budgeting, sales, business development, and strategic planning.
    • Well-developed time management skills
    • Track record of effectively guiding a service organize with a complex array of programs with the ability to leverage strengths across program areas.
    • Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach a senior-level staff to manage and develop high-performance teams and develop and implement program strategies.
    • Stakeholder Management Experience in terms of building and maintaining excellent relationships within complex organizations
    • Must have a good blend of business and technical savvy; a broad-picture and future vision, and the ability to make those visions a reality.
    • Enthusiasm and energy that influence and inspire a high level of professionalism amongst Partners, work mates and customers.
    • Highly delicate and demanding natures, requiring great skill and discretion
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent presentational skills.
