    We’re on the hunt for an experienced Sales Business Analyst (Revenue Manager) who ranks in the top quartile among their peers. Someone who has a highly competitive and entrepreneurial mindset that is wired with a team-first attitude, has no problem rolling up their sleeves to execute their missions, and can modulate between leading and following as needed.  In this role, the Business Analyst will use data to tell compelling stories. You will improve the ability of our sales teams to operate at scale, while at the same time delighting our customers and partners with personalized insights that help them meet their goals. You will also provide analytical expertise to our leaders, delivering insights that enable them to make decisions about where to invest product, sales and marketing efforts, existing account growth, and partner strategies for our client base. You will work closely with our product and sales teams to design client-ready presentation materials.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    At Solera, we believe in providing clarity and focus to what our volunteers are responsible for – their mission.  The 80’s, as we call them at Solera, are the employee’s priorities associated with their role or mission.  The mission 80’s for this role, are:

    1. Gather and interpret business requirements and monitor data trends to proactively identify issues.
    2. Produce reports for and interface with senior management and internal and external stakeholders.
    3. Provide strategic and tactical support on sales execution to sales management.

    Additional responsibilities of the role include:

    • Work closely with Data Architects to ensure business requirements captured are being met
    • Strong communication skills to work in close alignment with Business users in order to capture clear and concise Business Requirements for the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
    • Write queries and stored procedures in SQL, exports data into excel, reviews them for quality and data integrity, and send results to internal clients or external agencies.
    • Develop complex SQL queries against various data and computer sources.
    • Concisely summarize and communicate recommendations to various levels of management.
    • Analyze and interpret data, producing clear and compelling reports for different audiences which may include graphs and charts of data developed by analyzing situations and/or data models from which answers can be obtained.
    • Verify accuracy of data pulled and revises methods of data retrieval by following a standard process.
    • Propose report formats, including graphical presentations to effectively communicate meaningful data trends and relationships.
    • Create and generate reports through MS-Excel, MS-PowerPivot, MS-Access, and SQL.

    Qualifications

    Are You Qualified?

    • Bachelor's degree with quantitative focus
    • Expert in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI
    • 3+ years of analytical work experience in management consulting or finance, business operations and analytics environment.
    • 3+ years of experience analyzing data, using database query language (e.g., SQL).
    • Ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels within the organization
    • Ability to think strategically, with a solid grasp of business issues and objectives, about the implications of different solutions to arrive at the optimal solution given the current environment’s constraints.
    • Strong grasp on Data Warehouse concepts, models and best practices.
    • Must be well organized, extremely detail-oriented and have great communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Experience building sales-oriented pitch decks, using data to tell compelling stories that drive concrete actions and decisions.
    • Proven track record of thought leadership in applying data driven models that have had a tangible impact on sales and marketing operations.
    • Distinctive problem solving and analytical skills, combined with strong business judgment and communication skills.
