    Position 80s

    What You’ll Be Doing

    At Solera, we believe in providing clarity and focus to what are volunteers are responsible for – their mission.  The 80’s, as we call them at Solera, are the employee’s priorities associated with their role or mission.  The mission 80’s for this role, are:

    1. Provide business support to Global Data & Content (GD&C) product development group. Responsible for the annual budget, monthly forecast, and for improving the accuracy of the forecast process – must understand and be ready to take on heavy analysis responsibilities
    2. Also responsible for the "Business Analytics" that are needed to pre-empt negative trends and risk factors, and to escalate them on a timely basis. Drive product/project financial tracking and analysis and help provide direction for capitalization of internally developed software.
    3. Monthly, Quarterly, Annual and ad-hoc reporting

    Additional responsibilities of the role include:

    • Interfacing directly with the GD&C organization and leadership teams on a regular basis and be a key advisor to both in achieving/overachieving the Mission.

    Qualifications

    Are You Qualified?

    • Minimum of 5 years of financial analysis experience required
    • BS in Accounting or Finance is required; MBA is a plus
    • Must be very comfortable with FP&A, forecasting, trends analysis and be willing to be hands-on in this area
    • Ideally has had experience in a high margin and in tech industry
    • Strong general business acumen; excellent understanding of industry, financial analysis/management, P&L, Cash Flow and budgeting
    • Effective in using state of the art analysis tools to ensure timely, accurate, and insightful accurate forecasts.
    • Strong ERP systems experience
    • Experience with Cognos/TM1/Business Object are strongly preferred
    • Advanced financial modelling skills
    • Individual must have strong FP&A experience, outstanding Excel skills, Advanced PowerPoint abilities, Cognos/TM1/Business Objects Excel Retrieving and be highly analytical.
    • Works well with ambiguity and able to independently problem solve
    • This person should also be able to drive margin improvements, implement change and identify efficiencies across different business units, all in support of the Organization's Mission.
    • Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment, often on multiple projects with limited timelines
    • Ability to practice discretion while working on highly confidential project
    • Organization and prioritization skills and attention to details
