    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Responsible for supporting business reporting processes and assisting various business information system users using modern, collaborative business reporting software, tools, and packages.

      

    SCOPE OF THE POSITION:

    Position reports to the Manager, Business Reporting and Analytics

    The incumbent will be expected to work with more senior staff as well as independently and will be expected to use sound business and technical judgment.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Project management and presentations:

    • Load data into templates (when applicable) and run or monitor standardized Qlik Sense apps and Excel processing templates
    • Pull or obtain data and update common ad hoc input files
    • Assist business users by answering questions related to Qlik Sense or Excel
    • Collaborate with more senior staff on business information related projects
    • Summarize results from data analysis and assist in preparing various business reports

    Script writing and data analysis:

    • Identify and resolve data or logical issues in Qlik Sense apps or Excel Pivot Tables
    • Write basic to intermediate level syntax or logic for Qlik Sense apps or Excel Pivot Tables
    • Use fairly common statistical methods to summarize and interpret data for analyses
    • Match the right analytical or reporting tool to the business issue at hand

    All other related and/or additional responsibilities that may be required or assigned

    Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job will be considered.

     

    Education: 

    Bachelor's degree in a numbers oriented major (Accounting, Economics, Business Information Systems, etc.) from a four-year College or university preferred, or relevant work experience.

     

     

     

    Experience: 

    • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a business or analytical environment
    • Experience with Excel, Qlik Sense, or other analytical software
    • Experience working and communicating with technical and non-technical people

     

    Competencies: 

    To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

    • Strong knowledge of Excel
