What You’ll Be Doing

At Solera, we believe in providing clarity and focus to what are volunteers are responsible for – their mission. The 80’s, as we call them at Solera, are the employee’s priorities associated with their role or mission.

  • Create technically accurate articles and documentation that is educational for all segments of the automotive collision repair industry
  • Research industry challenges and produce content that addresses the needs for more information
  • Promote Solera’s Technical Center through all published materials

  • Create accurate technical documentation
  • Own the entire documentation process, including architecture, writing, editing, and deployment
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet project deadlines
  • Interact with subject matter experts to design and implement new publications for the automotive collision repair industry
  • Utilize graphics and photos to assist in delivering easy to understand technical documentation
  • Ability to work independently, accurately, and effectively in performing task or duties as assigned to completion
  • Maintain records of time, expenses and materials
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Comply with all Solera safety rules, guidelines and standards


  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, certificate in technical writing, or equivalent professional experience 
  • Minimum 3 years technical writing experience
  • Automotive service(dealership/manufacturing) technical writing experience, a plus
  • Automotive collision repair knowledge, a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Experience in collaborating with internal and external teams to manage simultaneous documentation projects
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to work in challenging and fast-paced, constantly-changing environment with tight deadlines
  • Writing for translation or localization experience, a plus
