AutoPoint is looking for an experienced OEM Regional Account Director to join our team. We are seeking a candidate who want to join our mission of enhancing the automotive marketplace with solutions that deliver a more efficient, enjoyable customer experience, and meaningful ROI for OEMs and Dealers. The Regional Account Director (RAD) is responsible for being part of the overall account team that establishes and maintains relationships with one of the major OEM customers at the regional and dealership level. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with functions within the OEM regional offices including vehicle and aftersales sales and marketing, regional management, and field operations. The RAD supports the daily needs of the assigned regional office, as well as promoting the program and working with regional management in support of the program, and to uncover new opportunity within the region for AutoPoint products and services

 

The RAD is also responsible and accountable for day to day dealership success, support, and growth.  The RAD will work with the Field Account Managers (FAM) and Virtual Account Managers (VAM) to position AutoPoint as the preferred partner in our product categories by offering early involvement, professional consultative support, and superior customer success. You will be responsible for client relations, retention and growth. This position is responsible for daily interaction with regional OEM and dealership contacts to reinforce the AutoPoint value proposition, manage and resolve issues, present new solutions and to identify and communicate new opportunities internally.

Position 80s

  • Execute all aspects of the account management process, including:
    • Maintaining high visibility with OEM regional contacts reinforcing our solutions and performance
    • Leading discovery and needs assessment meetings for new opportunities
    • Identifying ways to improve our solutions
    • Coordinating and participating in client update meetings
  • Lead an assigned team of client professionals responsible for delivering service and support, as well as driving incremental usage and success with AutoPoint solutions.
  • Maintain on site presence at client’s corporate regional headquarters daily / weekly
  • Continually develop and expand client relationships to ensure AutoPoint is considered for all relevant partner opportunities
  • Project management of client initiatives through communication internally and externally of requirements and status updates
  • Be the AutoPoint “expert” regarding client’s programs and initiatives
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure client delivery and support expectations are met
  • Communicate OEM needs and challenges to the internal organization to support product strategy and business expansion efforts

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of account management experience (preferably in the automotive OEM industry)

  • Knowledge of systems and solutions deployed in automotive retail to support Sales, Marketing and Operational activities
  • Proven track record of building relationships with OEMs, and nurturing and growing OEM partnerships
  • Proven track record of selling and supporting sales and service products in the automotive industry
  • Understanding of OEM structure at both corporate and regional level, Dealer Group and Dealer business models
  • Professional image and the ability to approach and engage all levels of management at client’s corporate headquarters
  • Ability to quickly identify, quantify and resolve customer objections, problems and needs in a diplomatic manner.
  • Proven effective communicator
