Due to our continued growth, Solera is establishing a new world class Finance Business Services center in South Jordan, UT to support our North American business operations. We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to help enable the enterprise “record to report” process on behalf of our North American businesses.


Position 80s

  • Prepare required monthly journal entries
  • Prepare monthly account analyses and reconciliation of accounts as needed
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Assist in the monthly preparation and upload of required forecast data into Cognos.
  • Review and approve Journal vouchers based on defined delegation of authority.
  • Support the monthly close process and ensure that all assigned close activities are accurately completed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and collect data to assess the accuracy & completeness of financial reports.
  • Monitor & test internal controls to ensure that they are performing as designed.
  • Assist in the development of monthly financial & management reports as required.
  • Must be flexible to work extended/flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, evenings, etc., as necessary; and
  • All other related and/or additional responsibilities that may be required or assigned.



  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • 3-5 years prior general accounting experience working in a finance shared services environment
  • Strong understanding of both International & US Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP Accounting).
  • Advanced understanding of the requirements of the Sarbanes Oxley act and prior experience implementing and managing internal control plans.
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Strong organizational & analytical skills.
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to problem-solve, multi task and prioritize within a fast paced and changing business environment.
  • High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel
  • Prior experience using the Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP platform or similar ERP platform.
