Mission

POSITION SUMMARY

As a result of continued growth, Explore Information Services has an opening for an experienced Business System Analyst in either Eagan or Marshall, MN. Under general supervision, this position is responsible for engaging with business managers and end users to determine business objectives and benefits, business and system requirements documentation, data analysis, and acceptance testing of new and existing systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Requirements Analysis and Documentation: Write and maintain detailed documentation of user requirements and the design/development of systems. Participate in external client and vendor calls and on-site meetings. Involves executing moderately complex analyst tasks, Explore methodologies, tools and systems.
  • Project Planning Tasks: status reporting, updating and assigning tasks to developers and participating in team sessions.
  • Work with Excel and use other internal data sources to develop analysis for new and existing products.
  • Thoroughly analyze data received to determine if it sufficiently meets business needs.
  • Act as a liaison between developers and end users to ensure technical compatibility.
  • Test, evaluate, and validate systems for business stakeholders.
  • Provide new and innovative approaches to business solutions.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
  • Minimal progressive technical and business experience that included business analyst experience performing requirements definition, analysis, documentation and design and project management.
  • Must be able to proficiently query data from a SQL server or other relational database.
  • Understanding of logical software design and architecture.
  • Ability to utilize resources to keep up with new technologies.
  • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Champion and adhere to company best practices.
