Virtual Material Damage Specialist
The Material Damage Specialist (MDS) is responsible for appraising, adjusting and auditing automotive damage insurance claims while controlling costs on behalf of insurance clients. The MDS has continuous interaction with claimants and clients to exchange information, possesses and uses advanced technical knowledge of the auto repair industry to provide analysis of alternative courses of action, and exercises discretion and judgment to settle claims and prepare client reports. This is a professional position requiring advanced knowledge of the automotive repair industry and state licensing to demonstrate competency to properly determine pricing for insurance repair claims.
Productivity - Consistently strive to minimize claim cycle time and control cost, while maintaining quality and full conformance with defined process requirements and business rules. Plan and organize work to maximize productivity in all claim adjusting activities.
Use advanced knowledge of the of the auto repair industry to evaluate repair claims and negotiate settlements between the insurance company and repair facility.
Use and apply advanced knowledge of the auto repair industry to review estimates and associated documentation to apply guidelines, state statutes, and best practices.
Apply technical knowledge and insight towards reaching agreement with repair facilities for estimate scope/cost as well as escalation handling.
Prepare client reports by collecting and summarizing information required by client and LYNX Services.
Maintain current home state license and continue professional development through additional and continuing training.
Maintain company reputation and insurance products integrity by complying with federal and state regulations and service standards.
Quality - Consistently handle claimant and client contacts in full conformance with defined process requirements, quality standards and business rules. Maintain professional and technical knowledge through continuing education to maintain a current adjuster’s license and/or gain additional required licenses. Take appropriate actions to address any/all noted areas for improvement. Respond to constructive feedback provided by the Supervisor, ADP in a positive and professional manner.
