Mission

The Data Operations Specialist processes, analyzes, and validates data to ensure accurate information is captured and loaded into AutoPoint's information technology systems.  Must have strong knowledge and experience SQL data bases, data requirements, and high-level view of application architecture.

Position 80s

Major Areas of Responsibility (80s):

  • Manages data acquisition activities
  • Manages data collection process
  • Monitors and manages Salesforce.com case activity
  • Completes miscellaneous activities

Primary Objectives:

  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Maintain data quality and integrity
  • Support Operation’s Production teams’ goals of efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery

Specific Areas of Responsibility

  • Manages data acquisition activities
    • Completes all vendor or client-specific activities required to initiate or cancel data feed
    • Monitors progress of data feed initiation or cancellation
    • Follows vendor-specific processes to complete data count requests
    • Follows vendor-specific processes to complete data orders
    • Performs quality control checks on 3rd party counts and/or orders to validate they meet requirements
    • Completes and submits Purchase Order for 3rd party list orders
    • Manages data vendor relationships
  • Manages data collection process
    • Ensures the timely delivery of data from clients and vendors
    • Ensures data is loaded correctly into information systems
    • Analyzes data for accuracy and to identify patterns
    • Troubleshoots issues with data files received from dealers and vendors
    • Resolves any data discrepancies
  • Monitors and manages Salesforce.com case activities
    • Manages case workload using Salesforce.com Case grid
    • Verifies cases within published SLA
    • Takes timely action to investigate and resolve case-related issues
    • Resolves cases within published SLA
    • Provides regular updates on case status using Chatter
    • Proposes solutions to compensate for data delivery delays
    • Responds to questions about individual cases from external customers, data vendors, and DMEa internal team members
    • Elevates ongoing issues to manager
  • Completes miscellaneous activities
    • Creates and maintains standard operating procedure documentation for specific jobs, programs or accounts supported
    • Leads and/or participates in team cross-training
    • Provides customer phone support for POSI Program, as required
    • Researches and resolves enrollment issues for POSI Program
    • Completes job-related tasks in Red Rocket Technology Platform(s)

 

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

  • Excellent skills in customer service
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL data bases, data requirements, and high-level view of application architecture
  • Above average skills in Microsoft Office Software ((Excel (2010), Outlook (2007), Word (2010) and Windows( 7))
  • Above average knowledge of the Internet and database technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to positively communicate with DMEa internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments

Education and Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent experience: Bachelors / 4-year college degree or three plus years of relevant work experience in technical support or data delivery.  BA in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science or Computer Information Systems (CIS) preferred.
