We are looking for an experienced Business Training Consultant to help continue to drive our constant commitment to improve the vehicle owner care experience.  We leverage software and proven best practices to stay focused on: productivity, customer satisfaction, and partnership.


The Business Training Consultant is responsible for the training of customers in the use of Solera’s Platform. Training responsibilities include: working with customers to create proficiency in the use of the software, and consulting with dealership management to establish best practices to maximize net profit improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Acquire full knowledge of the platform (including the supporting software system, processes, and selling techniques) to the point of becoming an expert within a prescribed period of time (3 months)
  • Work with customer’s staff on tasks that need to be accomplished between visits, develop an Action Plan and coach them to completion. This includes systems training and systems modifications based on assessment
  • Conduct group training events to successfully impart product and process concepts  
  • Consult with management on how to manage their staff around all aspects newly implemented program and associated processes
  • Teach basic computer skills to individuals as needed
  • Ensure the software application is functioning according to published standards, securing Technical Support as needed to rectify problems identified and monitor those problems through to completion
  • Identify onsite process changes required to maximize system utilization
  • Establish system implementation plan to achieve financial and performance objectives in the near term
  • Additional responsibilities could include assisting in the creation of supporting training materials


 Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to travel 100% (typically Monday – Friday but with some Sunday travel)
  • Flexible to travel as needed to various states and Canada
  • Strong interpersonal skills in both verbal and written communications
  • Bi-lingual preferred– Spanish speaking
  • Ability to effectively consult and train in Automotive Service & Parts departments utilizing Adult Learning principles
  • 4 years adult training experience desired
  • Experience in Dealership Fixed Operations and an understanding of dealership financial performance and objectives is a plus
  • Must be flexible, adaptive, and creative with the ability to work with diverse customers and co-workers, and be comfortable interacting with senior level management
  • Moderate to advanced skills with Microsoft Windows
