ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are currently seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to help enable the enterprise Customer to Cash process on behalf of our North American businesses. Ideal candidates are output-focused, goal-oriented, proactive, diligent, organized, flexible and eager to take on new challenges working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The candidate should have a complete understanding of billing process and have billing experience.

The Billing Specialist will serve in a highly visible role as a business partner with one of our major clients.  He/she will prepare invoices and reports for client and the sales team while focusing on process improvement, accuracy and timeliness.

In this position you will:

  • Organize and manage workload to meet deadlines.
  • Prepare invoices and reports for client and the sales team while focusing on process improvement, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Must be flexible to work extended/flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, etc., as necessary.
  • Anticipate problems and initiate course of action to resolve. Develop and implement new and creative approaches to problem solving.
  • Knowledgeable in process and workflow improvements and implementations.
  • Maintain customer files with sales contracts and other information.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding pricing, terms & conditions, billing and shipping.
  • Work directly with internal and external customers to resolve billing and contract billing problems/issues.
  • Audit monthly revenue numbers to ensure correct billing.
  • Analyze monthly invoices and revenue results for assigned accounts.
  • All other related and/or additional responsibilities that may be required or assigned.

Qualifications

For this position you need:

  • Associates Degree in Business or related field or combination of education and relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in AR/ Contracts Administration & Billing, preferably in Insurance or Software Industry.
  • Must have advanced skills with Excel.
  • Must have strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to negotiate.
  • Must be able to work with all levels of staff and management.
  • Must be highly motivated and ambitious.
  • Must have proven ability to work well with peers in all other functional departments in a collaborative and team manner.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Preference for SalesForce.com experience.
