Position Description

 

DST is seeking an Regional Account Director responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders in enterprise accounts and increasing overall revenue per client. Qualified candidates will develop deep understanding of client business needs, DST solutions, and the automotive parts distribution industry. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales, DST and is based in our Plymouth, MN office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain trusted long term relationships with key senior stakeholders within assigned accounts and develop a deep understanding of business needs of the account.
  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise on all DST solutions including the ability to demonstrate software applications and clearly articulate the value proposition to clients.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the automotive parts distribution market, including competitive landscape and industry trends.
  • Drive new revenue growth through proactive client engagement and consultative sales.
  • Own the contracting process, negotiating both pricing and terms for both new contracts and renewals.
  • Identify risks within assigned accounts and drive internal action plans to mitigate / eliminate those risks.
  • Collaborate across all internal teams and resources to provide the best solutions and services to assigned accounts.
  • Maintain and update accurate records of all account activities in Salesforce.com.

                                              

Qualifications

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, equivalent work experience considered.
  • 5+ years successful B2B experience selling software and/or technology to large accounts requiring longer, complex sales cycles.
  • Proven ability to meet / exceed sales quotas and drive revenue growth through a relationship based sales approach.
  • Strong project / account management and organization skills - able to work on multiple initiatives and balance priorities.
  • Demonstrated learning aptitude – ability to absorb and apply extensive industry and product knowledge to customers.
  • Highly effective communicator in verbal, written, and face to face interactions.
  • Experience in the automotive parts industry strongly preferred (OEM, aftermarket, recycled).
  • Goal oriented, focused on achieving/exceeding expected results while exercising initiative.
  • Strong customer focus—dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of customers and acts with customer in mind.
  • Knowledgeable of common Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Prior experience with SalesForce.com desired.
  • Regular travel required (+/-25%)
